Don't know why no one asks me to do anything?

im going to be a sophomore in high school and im kinda of quiet but i have around 5 closish friends (i just met them my freshman year) and ive had a problem even in grammer school with my friends no one ever texts me to do anything and its especially hard when summer comes and i literally sit around doing nothing and im not good at taking initiative which i know that i should but im never asked to do anything even when some of of my friends get together for a sleepover they dont think to invite me and i dont know why this happens and why no one ever takes the initiative ever even though some of them are extremely outgoing
